Diagnosis
This indicates no communication between the charger and the scooter's battery management system (BMS). The circuit is open.
How to Fix It
Unplug the charger from the wall and the scooter. Inspect the magnetic charging port on the scooter for bent pins, debris, or corrosion. Inspect the charger's magnetic plug for the same. Reconnect firmly, ensuring a solid magnetic connection. Plug into the wall. The light should turn red if contact is made.
If That Didn't Work
Test the charger output. With nothing connected, plug it into the wall. A green light confirms the charger has power. Use a multimeter on the DC pins of the magnetic plug. You should read approximately 42V. No voltage means a failed charger.
Heads Up
Only use the official Unagi magnetic charger. Third-party chargers with the same plug may not initiate the handshake with the BMS and will not charge, potentially locking the battery system.
