When the breaker is flipped or the unit is unplugged, the capacitor on the board discharges, and the memory is wiped instantly. While losing the time after a power outage is standard for this architecture, if the clock resets even during momentary flickers or if it fails to hold settings while the power is technically "on," it indicates a failure in the power regulation circuit. Specifically, the 3-amp fuse or the voltage regulator capacitor on the main control board is failing to maintain the necessary low-voltage rail required to keep the clock crystal oscillating. How to Fix It
To address the power loss and ensure the control board is receiving clean, consistent voltage, you must inspect and potentially replace the internal protection fuse. Follow these precise steps:
