Diagnosis
The monitor's default 'Standard' picture mode and color temperature settings are configured for energy efficiency and longevity, not color accuracy, resulting in a cool, washed-out appearance.
How to Fix It
1. Press the multifunction button to open the OSD.
2. Navigate to 'Picture Control'.
3. Set 'Picture Mode' to 'Custom'.
4. Adjust 'Color Temperature' to 'Warm' or 'User Define'. For User Define, set Red, Green, and Blue all to 100 as a balanced starting point.
5. Set 'Brightness' and 'Contrast' to your preference, typically 75-80 each.
If That Didn't Work
The issue may be your graphics driver's output settings. Open your GPU control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings). Under 'Display' > 'Adjust desktop color settings', ensure the output dynamic range is set to 'Full' (0-255) and not 'Limited' (16-235) if using HDMI.
Heads Up
This is an IPS panel with wide viewing angles but a standard sRGB color gamut. It will not match the vivid, oversaturated colors often found on consumer laptop screens. Calibration is required for professional color work.
