Diagnosis
This is coil whine from the monitor's internal power supply or display drivers. It is a common physical characteristic, not a functional defect, and is often more noticeable under high brightness/contrast loads.
How to Fix It
1. Access the OSD menu using the multifunction button.
2. Navigate to 'Picture Control'.
3. Reduce the 'Brightness' setting from the default (often 90-100) to 70-80.
4. Reduce the 'Contrast' setting from the default (often 80) to 70-75.
5. The audible noise should decrease significantly.
If That Didn't Work
Ensure the monitor is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip with other high-draw devices. Electrical noise from a poor-quality circuit can exacerbate the issue. If the whine is loud and persistent even at low brightness, it may indicate a component fault.
Heads Up
This model does not have a 'Dynamic Contrast' or 'Smart Dimming' feature that can cause similar noise by rapidly adjusting backlight power. If you hear a physical 'clicking' sound, that is the monitor entering or exiting power-saving mode, which is normal.
