DPBS requires specific hardware compatibility and a one-time setup.
- Check PC compatibility: DPBS is only compatible with specific Dell systems, namely the Dell OptiPlex 7090 Ultra or 3090 Ultra. It will not work with other PCs.
- Check the connection: The monitor must be connected to the compatible Dell PC via the USB-C upstream cable or the USB-C (Video + Data) port to enable the control signal.
- Initial activation: The function may need to be activated. With the PC connected via USB-C, press the monitor's power button to turn on both devices. Check the PC's power state.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Ensure the feature is enabled in the monitor's OSD. Navigate to Menu > System > Dell Power Button Sync and confirm it is set to On. Also, check the PC's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure wake-on-USB or similar power management features are enabled.
HEADS UP: If you've confirmed your PC is a compatible OptiPlex Ultra model and the feature is enabled but still doesn't work, try a different USB-C cable. The cable must support both data and the DP Alternate Mode for the control signals to pass through.
