Diagnosis
This is a designed feature, not a fault. The fan continues to run to circulate air and monitor humidity levels after the compressor cycles off.
How to Fix It
To make it completely shut off, you must turn the unit off manually with the power button or unplug it. In normal 'Smart' or 'Dry' mode, the fan will run continuously at a low speed for up to 3 minutes after the compressor stops to dry the coil and then may cycle on periodically to sample air.
If That Didn't Work
If the fan is running at HIGH speed constantly, even when the room is dry, that's different. Try a system reset: unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in. If high-speed fan persists, the control board might be faulty.
Heads Up
This low-speed fan operation is actually good for the unit and energy use is minimal. It prevents musty smells by keeping internal parts dry and allows for faster response when humidity rises again.
