The work light is designed with a delay. It should turn off automatically after a short period.
Diagnosis: Standard behavior. The light remains illuminated for approximately 10-20 seconds after trigger release to provide visibility while setting down the tool or positioning your next fastener.
Fix: No action required if it turns off within 20-30 seconds. This is normal operation.
If that didn't work: If the light remains on indefinitely (longer than 60 seconds), follow this checklist:
- Confirm the trigger has fully returned to its neutral, off position.
- Remove the battery pack from the drill. Wait 10 seconds, then reinstall it. This resets the tool's electronics.
- Check for any obstruction (dirt, debris) around the trigger mechanism that might prevent it from fully disengaging.
Heads up: An indefinitely illuminated light will drain the battery. If the reset does not resolve it, the trigger switch or light control circuit may be faulty.
