the lid on my zerowater pitcher won't stay closed, it just pops open when i try to pour.

DIAGNOSIS The hinge mechanism on the pour lid is broken or the locking tabs are worn. This is a common physical failure.

FIX Examine the two small plastic tabs on the underside of the lid that snap into the pitcher rim. If they are broken off, the lid cannot be repaired. You must order a replacement lid from ZeroWater.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For lids that seem intact, check for misalignment. Press the lid firmly into place on the rim, ensuring the hinge pins are fully seated in their sockets on both sides.

HEADS UP Do not force the lid or try to glue it. Contaminants from glue can leach into the water reservoir. Use the pitcher without the lid as a temporary measure.
