the lift-away pod on my shark navigator feels really loose and wobbly on the upright handle, is it supposed to be like that?

No. The pod should lock securely onto the handle. A wobble indicates it is not fully seated or the latch is malfunctioning.

1. Lift the pod off the handle completely.
2. Inspect the docking area on the handle and the corresponding slots on the pod for debris.
3. Align the pod with the handle guides and press down firmly until you hear and feel a definitive click.
4. Engage the carry handle on the pod. This often acts as a secondary lock. It should flip down smoothly.

If the pod still wobbles after a firm click, the locking mechanism inside the handle or on the pod may be broken. The pod must be secure for safe operation. This will require service or a replacement part.
