DIAGNOSIS A small delay of a few seconds is normal, but 10-15 seconds usually indicates a weak Wi-Fi signal between the camera and your router, or congestion on your home network.
FIX First, check your own phone's connection. 1) Are you on the same Wi-Fi network as the camera, or are you on cellular data? Cellular always adds more delay. 2) If you're home, test the feed speed by standing next to your router with your phone. If the delay drops, it's a Wi-Fi strength issue for the camera. Consider moving the camera or router closer together, or reducing obstacles like walls.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Other devices might be hogging bandwidth. If someone is streaming 4K video, gaming online, or downloading large files on your network, it can slow everything down. Try pausing heavy internet use and see if the camera feed speeds up.
HEADS UP The delay isn't in the camera's recording—it's in the live stream to your phone. Events are recorded and stored with correct timestamps. For real-time monitoring, improving your Wi-Fi network is the only real fix.
