The printer is likely in a deep Sleep or Power Off mode. These modes use very little power—Sleep uses about 0.7W, Power Off uses about 0.2W—which can make it seem unresponsive.
- First, press the power button firmly. You should hear the mechanism initialize and the 1.44" color LCD display should light up.
- If nothing happens, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in. The power light should come on. Press the power button again.
If that didn't work: There might be an internal error. With the printer plugged in and the power light on, try holding the power button down for 10-15 seconds to force a reset. Release it, then press it normally to turn it on.
Heads up: To save energy, the printer is ENERGY STAR qualified and will enter low-power modes automatically. This is normal. Just make sure you're pressing the button correctly to wake it from these states.
