Diagnosis
The rollover detection is the most finicky feature because it relies on a specific IR sensor array (not just the camera) and very precise setup. It's often not "broken," just misaligned or disabled.
How to Fix It
First, triple-check the setup in the app. You must go through the "Crib Setup" wizard and accurately define the crib's edges and the baby's sleep area. The detection zone is critical. The camera must be mounted perpendicular to the crib mattress, centered, and at the exact height Cubo recommends (check the in-app guide). The IR sensor needs a clear, straight-down view.
If That Didn't Work
Test with the right conditions. The rollover detection primarily uses an infrared sensor that projects a grid. It works best in low light. Try the test at night with the lights off (using night vision). Also, your test doll needs to be roughly baby-sized and opaque—a small or translucent doll won't break the IR grid effectively.
Heads Up
This feature is officially designed for babies who cannot roll over yet. Once a baby can roll independently, the alert becomes unreliable and should be turned off to prevent false alarms. It's a preventative alert, not a monitor for an already mobile baby.
