DIAGNOSIS The indicator pod has failed internally or has a corrupted voice chip. A solid red light with garbled audio indicates a hardware malfunction.
FIX Replace the indicator pod. Unplug it, unscrew the pod from the filter head, and order a new one (Aquasana part 304010-58). Screw the new pod on, plug it in, and press reset. The system will function without it—the pod is just a reminder.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Ensure the power adapter is the correct 5V DC unit. Using a higher voltage adapter can fry the pod's electronics.
HEADS UP The voice is non-essential. If you don't want to replace the pod, you can unplug it and just track filter changes manually on a calendar.
