Diagnosis
This is often moisture or grease on the touch panel or a failing touch control board. Spills or steam can cause phantom touches.
How to Fix It
Power the range completely off at the circuit breaker for 2 minutes. This resets the touch controller. Clean the glass touch area with a dry microfiber cloth. Ensure no moisture is near the panel.
If That Didn't Work
The touch panel assembly itself is faulty. It's a known issue. It integrates with the main display and requires replacement as a unit.
Heads Up
Do not use chemical cleaners on the touch panel. They can seep into the edges and damage the electronics. A slightly damp cloth is the maximum moisture to use.
