Diagnosis
Moisture or sticky residue has likely seeped under the capacitive touch buttons, causing phantom presses or a loss of sensitivity.
How to Fix It
Unplug the blender. 1) Dampen a soft cloth with just water (no soap or cleaner yet) and thoroughly wipe the entire control panel. 2) Dry it completely with a separate dry cloth. 3) Let it sit unplugged for an hour to ensure any internal condensation evaporates. Often, this simple clean and dry cycle resets the touch sensors.
If That Didn't Work
If the problem continues, try a deeper clean. Use a cotton swab dipped in a tiny amount of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and carefully swipe around the edges of each button symbol, then wipe dry immediately. The alcohol evaporates quickly and can dissolve sticky residues without harming the electronics.
Heads Up
Never submerge the motor base or pour/spray liquid directly onto the control panel. Clean it with a damp cloth only, and always when the unit is unplugged, to avoid short circuits.
