DIAGNOSIS The capacitive touch panel has locked up. This requires a hard reset of the unit's electronic controls.
FIX Unplug the blender from the wall outlet. Wait for 2 full minutes. This drains any residual power. While unplugged, press and hold the power button on the front for 30 seconds. Release. Plug the blender back in. The screen should illuminate and perform a brief self-test. The unit is now reset.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check for environmental factors. The screen may not respond if the surface is wet or if you are using gloves. Dry the screen completely with a soft cloth. Ensure the room temperature is above 40°F (4°C). Very cold conditions can affect touchscreen responsiveness.
HEADS UP Do not use abrasive cleaners or pressurized spray directly on the touchscreen. Use only a damp, soft cloth. A persistent, unresponsive screen after a hard reset indicates a hardware failure requiring service.
