You've likely accidentally engaged the safety lock on the trigger gun. It's a feature to prevent accidental spraying, especially during pauses.
Here's how to unlock it:
- Locate the safety lock on the trigger handle. It's a lever or tab.
- Push up on the safety lock until it clicks out of the locked slot. You should hear or feel it disengage.
- Once unlocked, you should be able to pull the trigger normally.
To engage the lock on purpose (like when you're taking a break), simply push the safety lock up into the slot until it clicks into place. This is the recommended procedure for any pause longer than a few minutes.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the safety lock isn't engaged but the trigger still won't pull, the trigger mechanism itself may be broken. Also, if the machine is on but pressurized and the trigger won't pull, remember the Total Stop System (TSS) may have shut the motor off. Squeezing the trigger should restart it. If the trigger is physically broken or if there's a leak in the spray gun, you'll need to call Snow Joe + Sun Joe customer service at 1-866-766-9563 for assistance.
