Diagnosis
A total lack of power almost always points to a failure in getting electricity to the control board. This is usually a simple outlet or cord issue, not a dead washer.
How to Fix It
Work from the wall inward. 1) Check that the wall outlet has power. Plug a lamp or phone charger into it to confirm. 2) If the outlet is good, check your home's circuit breaker or GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet that might be on the same circuit. Reset any tripped breakers or GFCI outlets. 3) With the washer UNPLUGGED, inspect the power cord for any damage, fraying, or burnt spots at the plug. 4) Plug the washer cord firmly back into the outlet.
If That Didn't Work
The lid switch assembly can fail in a way that completely kills power as a safety feature. Try holding the lid switch button down firmly (you might need a tool to press the little plastic nub inside the door frame) while you try to start a cycle. If it powers on then, the lid switch needs replacing.
Heads Up
Never bypass a lid switch to get the washer to run. It's a critical safety device that stops the spin cycle when the lid is open. Running it with a bypassed switch is dangerous.
