DIAGNOSIS The laser particle sensor is dirty or detecting normal household dust bursts. Even invisible particles from cooking, dusting, or walking on carpet can trigger it.
FIX Clean the laser sensor. Power off and unplug. Open the rear cover and look for a small rectangular opening or a lens inside the air inlet channel. Use a dry cotton swab to gently wipe the sensor window clean. Avoid liquids. Close the cover and test.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit may be placed in a problematic location. Move it at least 3 feet away from walls, corners, curtains, or direct airflow from vents, heaters, or humidifiers. These can create localized air currents that fool the sensor.
HEADS UP In Auto mode, the purifier is reactive, not predictive. It will always spike when it detects a change. For steady, quiet operation, manually set your desired fan speed (1 or 2) instead of relying on Auto.
