DIAGNOSIS Rapid drain with solar attached points to insufficient solar charge or a high-power draw setting. The solar panel cannot keep up if the camera is triggering constantly.
FIX Check the solar panel cable connection at both ends. Clean the panel surface. In the Reolink app, go to Camera Settings > Power Management. Set 'Recording Schedule' to 'Motion Events Only' and lower the 'Detection Sensitivity'. Ensure 'Spotlight' and 'Siren' are set to manual or off for automatic triggers.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The battery itself may have degraded. Remove the battery and fully charge it using the USB-C cable for 8 hours. Reinstall it and monitor. A failing battery will not hold a charge.
HEADS UP Positioning is critical. The solar panel needs direct sunlight for several hours daily. Partial shade or a northern exposure will not provide enough power.
