Diagnosis
Your Turelar immersion blender is equipped with a thermal safety cut-off. The motor is designed for intermittent use, not prolonged continuous operation. If you run it for more than approximately one minute without pause, the internal temperature rises enough to trigger an automatic shutdown. The blinking red light is the indicator for this over-temperature protection mode.
How to Fix It
Follow this procedure to use the blender correctly and avoid shutdowns:
- Immediately unplug the blender when it shuts down and the red light blinks.
- Let the motor cool completely for at least 15-20 minutes before attempting to use it again.
- For future blending, adopt an "intermittent pulsing" technique: run the blender for 20-30 seconds, then release the button and let it rest for 10-15 seconds before continuing.
- For thicker mixtures like nut butters or dense soups, use even shorter bursts of 10-15 seconds with longer pauses in between.
If That Didn't Work
If the blender now shuts down almost immediately even with short bursts, the issue may be more severe. First, check for a physical blockage: ensure the blending shaft is fully and cleanly attached, and that no food debris is jammed around the blade preventing it from spinning freely. If clear, the problem could be a failing motor or a fault in the thermal sensor, which would require contacting Turelar customer support for warranty service or a replacement.
Heads Up
The corded design means "use time" refers to cumulative active blending time, not continuous runtime. Pushing the motor past its thermal limits repeatedly can cause permanent damage and void the warranty. Always start with the speed on low or medium for tough tasks to reduce initial strain.
