Diagnosis
You cannot wash the entire unit as one piece. The Turelar immersion blender consists of two critical parts with very different cleaning rules: the sealed blending shaft (metal shaft with blades) and the motor housing (the main body with buttons and cord). Submerging the motor housing would allow water to enter, causing permanent electrical damage and a serious safety hazard.
How to Fix It
Always detach the shaft from the motor unit first. For the blending shaft:
- It is dishwasher-safe on the top rack only. The intense heat and water jets on the bottom rack could damage it.
- For hand washing, rinse it under warm running water immediately after use. Use a mild dish soap and a brush to clean the blade area thoroughly.
If That Didn't Work
If you've already gotten the motor housing wet, unplug it immediately and do not use it. Let it dry completely in a warm, dry place for at least 48-72 hours before testing. For stubborn food residue on the shaft, soak just the lower blade portion in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes before scrubbing. Avoid abrasive pads that can scratch the metal.

Ensure the shaft is completely dry before reattaching it to the motor housing to prevent any moisture transfer. Always unplug the blender before cleaning any part.
