can i use my metal baking pan that came with my old toaster oven in this cuisinart air fryer oven?

Yeah, this one's common. You can, but with a big caveat that affects how it cooks.

The oven is designed for optimal air frying with the included perforated basket. That basket lets hot air circulate under the food. A solid metal pan blocks that airflow from below, so you'll get more baking/roasting results instead of crispy air-fried texture. If you do use it, place it on the provided wire rack, not directly on the oven floor.

More importantly, the pan must be the right size. It cannot touch the side walls or the door glass. There needs to be at least an inch of clearance on all sides. An oversized pan traps heat and can cause overheating or error codes.

Heads up: Never use the air fry, toast, or broil functions with a solid pan on the bottom rack position. It's too close to the lower heating element and is a fire risk. Stick to Bake, Convection Bake, or Warm functions if using a solid pan.
