The machine is dispensing coffee at a high temperature to extract maximum flavor, and if there is insufficient ice in the vessel, the liquid will simply melt the ice instantly and remain at a tepid temperature. To confirm this is the issue, observe the ice levels in your glass after the brew cycle completes. If the ice has completely vanished or there are only a few small shards left at the bottom, you have not provided enough cooling mass to offset the heat of the brew.
