It can, but you need to prepare the rugs first. Tangling happens with tassels or high-pile rugs.
- For rugs with tassels: Fold the tasseled edges underneath the rug before starting a cleaning cycle. This prevents them from being sucked into the side brushes.
- Check the rug thickness. Avoid rugs thicker than 1.02 inches (26 mm). The RoboVac may not climb them properly or could malfunction.
- Watch for very dark-colored rugs. These can confuse the anti-drop sensors, making the RoboVac act cautiously or get stuck.
If that didn't work: The rug might simply be too high-pile or shaggy. These types are not suitable for this vacuum. You'll need to either block off that rug with a physical barrier or clean it separately.
Pro tip: Enable BoostIQ in Auto mode if you're cleaning low-pile carpets. It automatically increases suction power for a better clean.
