After cleaning, the most likely culprit is the silicone ring not being seated correctly or the anti-clog cap not being reinstalled. Here's how to fix it step-by-step.

  1. Unplug the unit and let it cool if it's warm.
  2. Remove the pressure lid. Check the silicone ring. Pull it outward section by section, then press it back down into the silicone ring rack firmly. It can be installed with either side facing up.
  3. Locate the anti-clog cap on the pressure release valve. Squeeze and pull it off, then press it firmly back into place.
  4. Before cooking, ensure the ring is fully seated and flush. You should be able to tug it lightly and rotate it.

If that didn't work, make sure the pressure release valve is turned to the SEAL position when pressure cooking. A damaged silicone ring (cracks, cuts) will not seal and must be replaced.
