clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle, it's not spinning right

— asked by Morgan

DIAGNOSIS The washer is not reaching high-speed spin. A worn drive belt, failed motor coupler, or faulty motor are the common causes.

FIX Check the drive belt first. Unplug washer, remove rear panel. Inspect belt for cracks, glazing, or looseness. Replace belt (part number DC97-15237A) if worn. Ensure it's routed correctly over motor pulley and drum pulley.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The direct drive motor coupler (DC96-00887A) may have stripped plastic gears. Or the motor hall sensor is faulty, preventing proper RPM feedback. Test motor resistance with a multimeter.

HEADS UP An unbalanced load can also cause reduced spin. Always distribute items evenly and avoid single heavy items like a rug.
