cosori air fryer making white smoke, is it safe?

— asked by Taylor

Yeah, this one's common. White smoke or steam is usually normal, but you should check a couple things.

First, it's normal during the first use or when cooking greasy foods. Oil dripping under the crisper plate can cause it. The basket might be hotter than usual, so handle with care.

To minimize it:

  • Make sure the basket and the inside of the air fryer are clean and not greasy. Buildup can smoke.
  • Don't overfill the basket with high-fat foods.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the smoke is dark, that's different. Dark smoke means food is burning or there's a circuit problem. Unplug immediately, wait for the smoke to clear, and remove the basket. If food wasn't burnt, contact support.

HEADS UP: Always use on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains or other flammable stuff.
