dishes are coming out wet and kinda streaky, not fully dry, even on the auto cycle. is the heater broken?

— asked by Sam

DIAGNOSIS The condensation drying system is not working optimally. The final rinse water temperature is likely too low, preventing proper evaporation during the cool-down phase.

FIX Ensure the incoming water is hot enough. Run the hot water at the kitchen sink until it is steaming before starting a cycle. Select a cycle with a higher final temperature: use 'Auto' or 'Heavy' instead of 'Eco'. Always use rinse aid. The sensor adjusts drying time based on rinse aid levels.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the load configuration. Plastic items and certain dish shapes block airflow and water drainage. Angle plastic items downward. Do not overload the top rack, as it blocks the vapor path to the condensation panel.

HEADS UP The 'Eco' cycle intentionally uses lower temperatures for energy savings, resulting in less effective drying. This is normal operation, not a fault.
