DIAGNOSIS Power is not reaching the main control board. The most common point of failure is the thermal cutoff fuse on the console, which blows from a power surge or moisture.
FIX Unplug the dishwasher. Remove the inner door panel to access the back of the control panel. Locate the small, rectangular thermal fuse (often white with two wires). Test it for continuity with a multimeter. If it's blown, replace it with an identical part.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The main control board or the wiring harness from the house outlet to the board has failed. Use the multimeter to confirm 120V is reaching the main board's input terminals with the unit plugged in. If power is present, the main control board is dead.
HEADS UP When testing live voltage inside the unit, have a partner present. One wrong slip can cause a short or shock. If unsure, call a tech.
