Check your print settings. 'High Quality' or 'Best Photo' modes drastically slow down print speed.
Standard speeds:
Black: 10.0 ISO pages per minute. First page out in 10 seconds.
Color: 5.0 ISO pages per minute. First page out in 16 seconds.
A 4x6" borderless photo takes about 90 seconds at default speed.
Fix:
- In your print dialog, select 'Standard' or 'Draft' quality for text documents.
- Ensure you're not printing in 'Best' or 'Photo' mode for everyday documents.
- Check your paper type setting. Selecting 'Premium Photo Paper' when using plain paper forces slower, higher-quality printing.
If that didn't work: A weak Wi-Fi signal can cause communication delays. Move the printer closer to the router. Also, complex documents with high-resolution graphics will print slower than plain text.
Heads up: Actual print times vary based on system configuration, software, and page complexity. The quoted speeds are ISO measurements under specific test conditions.
