Diagnosis
Error 05 is a hall sensor fault in the motor. It’s a communication error between the controller and the motor’s internal sensors, often triggered by a loose wire or connector.
How to Fix It
First, check all visible motor cable connections. Trace the thick cable from the rear wheel to its connector near the deck—ensure it’s fully seated and locked. Power cycle the scooter. If the error clears, you’ve fixed it.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK The issue could be internal. Firmly tap the rear wheel tire sidewall a few times while the scooter is off. This can reseat a temporarily stuck sensor magnet. If error persists, it likely requires professional repair.
Heads Up
Do not ignore this error. Riding with an intermittent hall fault can cause sudden, unexpected loss of power or jerky acceleration, which is a safety risk.
