Diagnosis
Right to be cautious. The IP54 rating means it’s resistant to splashes, not pressure washing or submersion. The deck electronics and charge port are vulnerable.
How to Fix It
Use a damp (not wet) microfiber cloth for the frame and deck. For the wheels and fenders, a soft brush to dislodge grime. Never spray water directly at the scooter. Immediately dry all surfaces, especially near the charge port cover and display.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK For stubborn grime on the rubber deck, use a mild soap solution on the cloth, not the scooter. Avoid all solvents, alcohol, or degreasers on displays or plastic parts.
Heads Up
The absolute worst thing you can do is use a hose, pressure washer, or ride through deep puddles. Water forced into the deck or stem can damage the battery and controller, which is not covered under warranty.
