Diagnosis
You’re likely riding in a higher performance mode (Sport) without realizing it, or you have a habit of frequent, hard acceleration. Tire pressure is the other major silent range killer.
How to Fix It
Check and inflate your tires to 45-50 PSI. Soft tires create massive rolling resistance. Use a quality bike pump with a gauge. This alone can restore 15-20% of lost range.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK Check your riding mode. In the NIU app, ensure ‘Sport’ mode isn’t locked on. Sport mode sacrifices range for power. Switch to Eco or Standard for commuting.
Heads Up
Never store the scooter with a fully depleted or a 100% charged battery for long periods. For storage, aim for 50-80% charge to maximize long-term battery lifespan.
