my new kqi3 pro won’t turn on at all after charging, the screen is just dead, what’s wrong?

— asked by Riley

Quick answer: This is almost always a loose power connector inside the stem. The scooter ships with it partially disconnected for safety, and it’s the #1 setup miss.

Diagnosis

This is almost always a loose power connector inside the stem. The scooter ships with it partially disconnected for safety, and it’s the #1 setup miss.

How to Fix It

Open the stem compartment. Unscrew the four hex bolts on the neck cover with the provided tool. Locate the yellow connector inside. Press it firmly together until you hear a distinct click. Reassemble. It will power on.

IF THAT DIDN’T WORK Check the physical power button on the deck. Press and hold it for 3+ seconds. If still dead, your charger or charging port might be faulty—verify the charger LED turns red when plugged into the scooter.

Heads Up

Never ride with the stem compartment cover loose. Those four bolts must be fully tightened for structural safety, not just electrical contact.
