DIAGNOSIS The LE error indicates a motor lock or a failure to sense correct motor speed (RPM) during spin. A drain issue often causes this by leaving the tub too heavy with water to spin.
FIX First, check for a drain blockage. Turn the power off. Unplug the drain hose from the standpipe or sink and check for kinks or clogs. Inspect the drain pump filter (located behind the small kickplate on the front lower-left). Clean any debris.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK An unbalanced load can also trigger LE. Redistribute the wet clothes evenly around the agitator. Ensure you are not washing a single bulky item like a blanket. Select the TUB CLEAN cycle, which runs a balanced spin test.
HEADS UP Consistently overloading the washer is a primary cause of LE errors. The WT7900HBA has a 5.5 cu ft capacity. Do not fill the tub more than 3/4 full with loose items.
