DIAGNOSIS LE means the washer can't drain the water out within a set time. It's usually a simple clog in the drain system or a kinked drain hose.
FIX 1) Unplug the washer. 2) Pull it out and check the drain hose at the back. Make sure it's not kinked and is only inserted 6-8 inches into the standpipe. 3) Clear the drain pump filter. Open the small access panel at the bottom front (left side). Have a towel and shallow pan ready. Unscrew the filter cap slowly to let water drain, then pull out any debris like coins, hair, or lint.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The drain pump itself might have failed. You can sometimes hear a humming if it's trying to run but is jammed. Replacing the pump is the next step.
HEADS UP Always clear the drain filter every 3-6 months to prevent this error. And never use more than the recommended HE detergent—oversudsing can also trigger an LE code.
