DIAGNOSIS That's likely the washer using its sensor systems. Modern LG washers automatically add time if they sense the load is very dirty, unbalanced, or too sudsy, to ensure a clean rinse.
FIX First, check your cycle settings. 1) Press the Normal button, then check the Options. If TurboWash is off, turn it on—it speeds things up significantly. 2) Make sure Extra Rinse or Sanitary Cycle is not selected, as these add substantial time. 3) Try a smaller, more balanced load. A single heavy item like a blanket can trigger long re-balance phases.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the washer seems stuck at one point (like filling or draining), you might have a slow water inlet (check house water pressure) or a partial drain clog, forcing it to wait.
HEADS UP The first few cycles after installation often run longer as the machine calibrates. Also, using the “AI DD” (Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive) feature will adjust cycle times based on soil sensing, which can make them longer.
