how do i change the direction on my dekopro drill to take out a screw?

You need to use the forward/reverse switch. Here's how, step-by-step.

1. First, release the speed control trigger completely and let the chuck stop.
2. Locate the forward/reverse switch on top of the drill, behind the chuck.
3. To select reverse (for removing screws), depress the button on the LEFT side of the tool.
4. To go back to forward (for driving screws), depress the button on the RIGHT side.

If that didn't work: Make sure the switch isn't stuck in the center position. The center position locks the tool off. You need to move it fully to the left or right.

Heads up: Always set this switch to the center position when you're done, before transporting or storing the drill, or when changing bits. It prevents accidental starting.
