my dekopro drill won't turn on at all, just dead. what gives?

— asked by Chad

The battery is the first culprit.

  1. Remove the battery pack by pressing the release button.
  2. Check the battery indicator on the pack. If no lights, it's completely discharged.
  3. Charge it using the specified 21.5V, 1.5A charger. A red indicator light means it's charging; green means fully charged (takes 1-2 hours).
  4. Reinstall by aligning the pack with the rails inside the handle and sliding it in until firmly seated.

If that didn't work: The forward/reverse switch might be in the center (locked) position. Move the switch left or right. Also check that the speed control trigger isn't obstructed.

Heads up: Only use the DEKO-specified charger. Using a different one creates a fire risk.
