Diagnosis
Standard grime and dirt buildup. The key is to avoid high-pressure water and moisture in electrical ports.
How to Fix It
Use a damp cloth and mild cleaner only.
- Turn the scooter OFF and disconnect the charger.
- Wipe down the frame, deck, and wheels with a cloth dampened with water and a little dish soap.
- Immediately dry all surfaces with a separate, dry towel.
- For the grip tape, use a stiff brush to knock off dry dirt.
If That Didn't Work
For stubborn grease on the chain (if yours has the optional chain drive kit), use a dedicated bicycle chain degreaser and a rag, keeping it away from the motor and wiring.
Heads Up
Never use a hose or pressure washer. Water forced into the deck, throttle, or motor connectors will cause corrosion and electrical failure.
