Diagnosis
The motor is overheating and the thermal cut-off is kicking in to protect it. Common on older E300s or during long, steep climbs.
How to Fix It
Let the motor cool down completely.
- Turn the scooter off.
- Wait at least 20-30 minutes in a cool place.
- It should power on and run normally again.
If That Didn't Work
A failing throttle could be sending erratic signals, causing a shutdown. Check for cracked or damaged wiring where the throttle cable meets the handlebar.
Heads Up
Repeated overheating can permanently weaken the motor. If this happens frequently on flat ground, the motor may be failing.
