how do i clean the water reservoir on my keurig mini? it's starting to look funky inside.

— asked by Casey

Cleaning the reservoir periodically is a good idea to prevent buildup. It's straightforward.

First, turn off and unplug the brewer. Never immerse the whole brewer in water.

  1. Lift the water reservoir lid.
  2. Wipe the inside of the reservoir and the underside of the lid with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. You can use a little mild soap.
  3. Do not dry the inside with a cloth, as lint may remain. Instead, let the reservoir air dry completely before reassembling and using.

HEADS UP: Always empty the water reservoir before storing or transporting the brewer. If you've stored it, rinse the reservoir with fresh water and consider descaling before use.
