DIAGNOSIS Mineral scale and biofilm have accumulated in the water lines and reservoir, causing odor and potential clogs.
FIX Use the official cleaning cycle. Fill the external water bottle with a mixture of 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water. Place it on the unit. Press and hold the 'Clean' button for 3 seconds. The cycle runs for 25 minutes. Afterwards, run two clear water cycles with fresh distilled water to rinse.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For heavy scale, you may need to manually clean. Unplug the unit. Remove the internal water reservoir and soak it in a vinegar solution. Use a soft pipe cleaner for the small water delivery tube.
HEADS UP Perform this cleaning every 2-3 weeks with regular use, or more often with hard water. Never use chemical cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers. They will damage the components and void the warranty.
