how do i scan a document to my computer with the epson et-2800? the software is confusing.

Use the included EpsonScan 2 software or your operating system's built-in tools. The scanner is a color flatbed CIS photo sensor with 1200 dpi optical resolution.

Fix:

  1. Install the software from the included CD-ROM or download it.
  2. Place your document face-down on the 8.5" x 11.7" scan bed.
  3. Open EpsonScan 2. It supports TWAIN, WIA, and ICA protocols.
  4. Select your output: PDF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, Multi-TIFF, BMP, or PICT (Mac).
  5. You can set the resolution from 75 up to 9600 dpi (interpolated).

If that didn't work:

  • For Windows Server OS, only printing and scanning are supported; other functions may not work.
  • On Mac OS X 10.6.8 through 10.15.x, some applications or functions may not be supported. Internet access is required to install drivers.

Heads up: The scanner bit depth is 48-bit color input / 24-bit color output. Use the 'Scan to Computer' feature via the Event Manager for direct saving.
