how do you clean the fluffy roller head on the dyson v8? can i just rinse it under the tap?

You can wash the brush bar from the Soft Roller head, but you have to do it carefully to avoid damaging the electronics.

1. First, make sure your machine is disconnected from the charger.
2. Press the cleaner head release button on the wand and place the cleaner head upside down.
3. Locate the end cap on the side of the head. Push it up fully and pull the brush bar out.
4. Remove the end cap from the brush bar. Do not wash the end cap.
5. Hold the brush bar under running water and gently rub to remove lint and dirt.
6. Squeeze out excess water by running your hand down its length.
7. Stand the brush bar upright with the closed end at the top. Let it dry completely for at least 24 hours.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The cleaner head housing itself is not washable. Only wipe it with a damp, lint-free cloth. Never submerge it or use detergents.

HEADS UP: Before reassembling, check the brush bar is completely dry. Reattach the end cap, slide the brush bar in, and push the end cap back down to the closed position.
