DIAGNOSIS The water pump isn't moving water from the tank to the evaporator. The most common culprit is a clogged inlet screen or an airlock in the line.
FIX Unplug the unit. Remove the water tank and locate the small circular screen where the tank connects to the base. Use a soft brush (like a clean toothbrush) to gently scrub any mineral deposits off this screen. Rinse the tank thoroughly and reconnect, ensuring it's clicked fully into place.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Perform a manual water intake prime. With the unit unplugged, slowly pour about 1 cup of water directly into the ice-making chamber (where the ice forms). Plug it back in and start a cycle. This can force out an air bubble blocking the pump.
HEADS UP Always use the unit's own water tank, not a direct plumbing line. The pump is designed for that specific tank's pressure. Using filtered or distilled water in the tank drastically reduces future clogs.
