DIAGNOSIS The control board is frozen or has a minor glitch. This is a software/hardware handshake issue, not a total failure.
FIX Perform a hard reset. Unplug the machine from the wall outlet. Wait 60 seconds. While unplugged, press and hold the "Power" button on the unit for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power. Plug it directly back into the wall outlet (not a power strip). The display should reboot.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check your power source. Plug a different appliance (like a lamp) into the same outlet to confirm it's working. This unit needs a stable 110-120V connection. A weak outlet or overloaded power strip can cause the display to malfunction.
HEADS UP Always plug this appliance directly into a wall outlet. Power strips, GFCI outlets in kitchens, or outlets on a switch can cause irregular voltage that disrupts the sensitive control panel.
