DIAGNOSIS A leak from the base usually means the drain plug at the back isn't fully sealed, or the internal drain tube is disconnected.
FIX First, check the clear silicone drain plug on the back of the unit. Ensure it is pushed in all the way and twisted to the locked (closed) position. It's easy to bump open during cleaning or moving.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The leak may be from an overfilled ice basket. The melting ice water drain pan underneath the basket has a small capacity. If the basket is overfull, meltwater overflows into the cabinet. Empty the ice basket more frequently.
HEADS UP Never operate the machine with the drain plug open or removed, unless you're deliberately draining it into a container. It's not designed for continuous drainage.
