Yes, if temperatures drop below freezing. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). Outside that range, performance will suffer and the hardware can be damaged.

Do not install a node where temperatures fall below 0°C or rise above 40°C. Storage temperature is wider (-20°C to 60°C), but the device must be within the operating range to function.

Relocate the node to a climate-controlled area. Use an Ethernet cable (CAT5e or higher) to extend the connection back to the garage if needed, keeping the Velop itself indoors.
